travel tuesday & some extras

Spring Break (for us college students) is coming up & it looks like I’m concocting some plans to head to the Big Apple! It’ll be my first time to New York and I love to travel, unfortunately the price of doing so puts a huge dent in my wallet.

Here are some great websites I frequently use for booking airfare:
(click the screenshot to launch their website)

KAYAK compares airfares from all different airlines in one shot, so you can see what the lowest rates are.

VIRGIN AMERICA only flies to certain cities, but they have WiFi on their flights and touch-screens for every seat.

JET BLUE also flies from particular cities, but I’ve heard has great service and checks your first bag in free!

For those going on a missions trip this Spring Break or Summer, MISSION TRAVEL has great deals for students and groups.

My good friend recommended this site to me called AIRBNB where you can rent out people’s apartments or rooms. They give you the specs for everything and how many people they can accommodate. Definitely using this for NYC!

JETSETTER is also a great resource for more up-scale hotels and vacations. This is a partner of Gilt Groupe (which has discounted clothing, decor, and accessories).

For those staying put in your home city, there are plenty of new places you explore. Check out Design*Sponge’s city guides for both US and international cities.

»SOME EXTRAS

Polaroids and photobooth pictures have become all the rage these past few years. La Photo Cabine is a great resource to take cute photobooth pictures right from your computer!

Enjoy!
And please stay warm, everyone!
xoxo, meg
