what a week! here's mine in instagrams in a somewhat jumbled order with lots of surprises. i spent last weekend somewhat miserably sick at home for 48 hours, i only left the house once in these comfy slip on flats. woke up for work monday morning with a praline croissant on my desk and was later surprised with a little gift in the mail from my bestf who went to india with EMI. and i've found myself wearing lots of bright colors this week and making shiny sparkly things for photoshoots and such. click "read more" for your weekend links!
+ my friends posted about this really great article from the new york times about platonic relationships. ahh...takes me back to the days of "when harry met sally" if you know what i mean. can women and men just be friends? think about it, read their post, the article, and then let it simmer some more. any thoughts? feel free to share!
+ i'm totally a type nerd and i love kids, so this is the cutest thing ever to me! swissmiss posted a video of her friend's son who loves typeface zapfino and is totally convinced that it's his dad's favorite too. gaah! so cute.
+ looking for new glasses? i'm loving the frames by warby parker. they're classy and versatile, only $95 each, and they give a pair to someone in need. they have some showrooms around the US, but what's awesome is you can pick 5 styles in the colors you like and try them on at home! super neat. and their "trailer" is awesome, haha.
+ i read blue like jazz
years ago and remember loving it. the movie is now playing in many theaters, but since it's an independent film it needs to have a good showing to continue playing on the big screens. i've always had a special love for these indie films because i know they're produced well, with love, and the author/director is adamant about not cutting corners. check out the behind the scenes videos and read the book if you haven't!
thankfully i'm feeling much better this weekend so i'm going back down to Charlottesville with my housemate to visit our baker friend, megan, for her birthday. happy friday, y'all!
