It's a bit overcast today, but I'm here again at Northside Social with my chai latte. The past few days have been particularly eventful. My hands are a bit worn from dealing with thorns and floral tape at Holly Chapple's floral shop, my feet a bit sore from running around the beautiful grounds of Airlie from this weekend's wedding. This week ended well as I hit some major milestones like watching Bad Boys II and The Matrix for the first time (yes, yes, I know...cue jaws dropping). And though I'm not the biggest sports fanatic, Texas pride definitely runs in my blood. Go Cowboys! What else is new?

(1) Lecrae's new I Am Second video came out - an amazing testimony of God's redemption & how He works through the rap/hip-hop music genre.
(2) Been listening to a country family band, The Band Perry, my old favorite, Joy Williams, in a folksy duo with John Paul White called The Civil Wars & the pop piano/guitar sounds of Ben Rector.
(3) Since moving here, I've realized how important it is to be willing and ready to share parts of my story. Let's be real...it takes a lot of time, effort and heart to develop new friendships, and even wisdom in figuring out which ones are really worth your invested time. Stories are powerful and you never know how they'll touch another person's life, so never be afraid to share.

I love that quote actually. It's actually going to go in the quotes I like on Facebook. Enjoy the overcast day!
